I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of clinical experience across psychiatric and medical settings, including inpatient psychiatry, consultation-liaison care, substance use treatment, and outpatient mental health.

My clinical experience has included patients at very different points in their treatment—from acute psychiatric presentations to long-term outpatient medication management. That experience has shaped how I approach diagnostic uncertainty, medication response, side effects, and complex treatment histories.

Today, my practice focuses primarily on adults who need careful psychiatric evaluation and medication management, including those who have experienced incomplete treatment response, difficult medication side effects, or uncertainty about their current diagnosis or regimen.

Over the course of my clinical work, I became increasingly interested in cases where the clinical picture was not straightforward—when symptoms overlapped, medications had produced mixed results, side effects complicated treatment, or the existing diagnosis no longer fully explained the patient’s experience.

Harmonia Precision Mental Health was created to provide the time and structure needed to evaluate those situations carefully. My goal is to understand how symptoms, treatment history, medication response, medical factors, and co-occurring psychiatric conditions fit together before determining the next step.

This does not always mean changing medication. Sometimes the most appropriate decision is to continue an effective regimen. In other situations, treatment may benefit from adjustment, simplification, or further diagnostic clarification.

My clinical experience includes inpatient psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry for medically hospitalized patients, substance use treatment, and outpatient adult psychiatric care. I have also worked in medical and clinical research settings involving infectious disease and oncology, experiences that continue to inform my understanding of the interaction between psychiatric and physical health.

Care is available in both English and Korean. Cultural background, family context, and communication preferences are considered when they are relevant to psychiatric assessment and treatment.

Harmonia emphasizes diagnostic clarification, medication effectiveness, tolerability, and treatment plans that are no more complicated than clinically necessary.
