About Nuri Alberga, PMHNP-BC, MBA
Nuri Alberga is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with advanced training in integrative psychiatry and extensive experience working with complex psychiatric cases.

Many patients seek care after experiencing medication side effects, inconsistent responses, or uncertainty about their diagnosis. Her clinical focus is helping patients bring greater clarity and stability to treatment when previous approaches have not produced the results they hoped for.

Her approach emphasizes careful psychiatric evaluation, thoughtful medication strategy, and close attention to how individual biological differences influence medication response.

The goal is not simply managing symptoms visit by visit, but helping patients move toward more stable, effective treatment over time.

Is Harmonia the Right Fit?
You may benefit from care here if you:
-
Feel over-medicated, under-medicated, or emotionally blunted and want to feel more like yourself again.

-
Want a thoughtful review of your diagnosis and a clearer medication strategy.

-
Prefer collaborative treatment decisions where your concerns and experiences are taken seriously.

-
Have tried several psychiatric medications without achieving the results you hoped for.

-
Have relied on alcohol or other substances to manage mood or anxiety and want a deeper clinical understanding of what’s happening.

-
Have tried treatments such as TMS, Spravato, or ketamine and are seeking further psychiatric reassessment.
This practice may not be the best fit if you:
-
Are seeking medication refills without periodic review or ongoing clinical follow-up.

-
Prefer rapid medication changes without discussion of safety, rationale, and long-term treatment planning.

-
Rely primarily on high-risk medications such as daily benzodiazepines and are not open to discussing safety considerations or alternative approaches.

-
Are looking for a one-time prescription rather than an ongoing therapeutic relationship.

-
Prefer very brief, high-volume visits rather than a more thoughtful and personalized approach to psychiatric care.
Our Clinical Approach
Many patients come to Harmonia after feeling stuck in treatment — when medications helped briefly, caused difficult side effects, or never fully addressed the underlying problem.

At Harmonia, psychiatric care begins with a careful review of the full clinical picture: symptoms, diagnosis, medication history, physiology, and how treatments have interacted over time.

Rather than simply adding new medications, the focus is on thoughtful medication design — understanding how each treatment affects the overall system and adjusting carefully based on individual response.

The goal is to move toward a Minimum Effective Regimen: a treatment plan that is as streamlined as possible while remaining fully effective.
Harmonia provides expert psychiatric care for adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, bipolar-spectrum conditions, and co-occurring substance use, including Suboxone/MAT for opioid use, with a particular focus on complex, treatment-resistant, or diagnostically unclear presentations.
Start With a Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
New patients begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to understand your symptoms, treatment history, and medication response.

From there, care may continue with ongoing medication management or a more structured medication optimization approach when appropriate.
